Eastern New York Side Spout Painted Tin Coffeepot c. 1840
A very scarce painted tin side spouted coffeepot with conical lid from Eastern New York (probably the Butler
shop of East Greenville New York), c. 1835.
The coffeepot stands approximately 10-1/4" high, with a 5-1/16" diameter base. With no in-painting, there is some
asphaltum loss, mostly near the lid, and loss of thinly painted color. The tulip is cross-hatched and the red stems
and yellow highlighting in the leaves points to the manufacturer as the Butler shop.
A great form. No repairs.
