Frederick Bassett Eighteenth Century American Pewter 9" Semi-Deep Plate

A scarce example of an eighteenth century New York semi-deep 9" plate by Frederick Bassett, who worked in
both New York and Hartford Connecticut,  c. 1761-1800. Frederick, youngest child of John Bassett, grew up and
worked in New York, worked in Hartford Connecticut from about 1780-1785, then moved back to New York to
finish his career with his death in 1800. The plate touch marks (J-24 and J-25) are very good.  The plate is in
excellent overall condition, with a couple of very minor dings, scratches and normal signs of use.
