American Pewter Tall Beaker, Connecticut Late 18th Century

An excellent  unmarked 5-3/16" American pewter beaker, attributed to Edward Danforth or Samuel Danforth of
Hartford Connecticut.  Closely following Robert Bonynge of Boston, the Middletown and Hartford Danforth family
(and later Thomas Danforth Boardman) made these wonderful 5-1/4" range pewter forms.

The attribution is based on the high decorative banding near the lip and the stepped foot sometimes found on
marked or known Edward and Samuel Danforth examples.

In fine condition.
