Connecticut Pewter Gill Mug , c. 1795-1820
Not often found marked, these gill size mugs were made by Samuel Danforth and his nephew Thomas Danforth
Boardman of Hartford Connecticut. Although termed "mugs" since they have a similar form to their larger
brethren, these small size versions (standing 2-1/2" to the rim) were most likely used as measures.
This mug (measure) is in good condition.
