Hall, Boardman & Co. Eight Cup Teapot, ca 1846-1848
A clean and excellent condition 'double ender' teapot by Hall, Boardman & Co of Philadelphia. The successor firm
to Boardman & Hall, the firm operated from 1846-1848. The firm itself was succeeded by Hall and Boardman. The
Boardman Philadelphia outlet, while selling Hartford Connecticut goods, is also known to have made
pewter/britannia items locally. The mark is not as well known as the more typically found Boardman & Hall mark.
The Philadelphia mark on this teapot is also different than the Philadelphia mark typically found on the Boardman
& Hall examples.
This eight-cup teapot stands slightly more than 10" tall.
