JOHN SKINNER AMERICAN PEWTER 9-1/8" SMOOTH RIM PLATE
A fine condition and scarce 9-1/8" hammered booge plate by John Skinner, Boston Massachusetts, c. 1760-1790.
Likely pre-Revolutionary, the plate has the nearly as-struck lion-in-gateway touches and hall marks (J-249).
There are two sizes of smooth rim plates and this is the larger size.
