A nice condition and exceptionally scarce small cast iron butter pot or posnet, c. 1750-1800. The pot, probably American, has no cracks or repairs and stands on three full-height feet. Found more typically in larger sizes, the diameter of this butter or sauce pot is 3-1/4" and the entire length is a shade over 6-3/4".

Cast in one piece, the casting sprue is on the bottom.
